Ingredients
Grass-fed beef fat
Beef tallow is a valuable ingredient in skin care due to its nutrient-rich profile and structural similarity to human sebum , which enhances absorption and minimizes the potential for clogged pores (Cureus, 2024) . The key fatty acids in beef tallow —stearic, oleic, and palmitic —support the skin barrier by retaining moisture and protecting against external irritants. This makes it ideal for hydrating and softening the skin (MDPI, 2024) .
The structural similarity of these fatty acids to human lipids allows beef tallow to integrate seamlessly with the skin's natural barrier, resulting in effective hydration and protection without clogging pores (Cureus, 2024) .
Additionally, beef tallow contains fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K , which promote cell regeneration, reduce inflammation, and provide antioxidant benefits (MDPI, 2024) . These vitamins support a healthy skin barrier and help reduce signs of skin aging (Fat & Field, 2024) . The anti-inflammatory properties of beef tallow also soothe irritated or inflamed skin, as shown in studies on the effects of beef tallow on skin integrity and cell turnover (Cureus) .
Jojoba oil
Jojoba oil is excellent for skin care due to its high concentration of wax esters , which makes it structurally similar to human sebum . This compatibility allows jojoba oil to be quickly absorbed, helping to balance sebum production without clogging pores, ideal for both dry and oily skin (Kensara & Ashour, 2021) .
Additionally, jojoba oil is rich in antioxidants , particularly vitamin E , which helps repair skin damage and protect against environmental factors. Its natural anti-inflammatory properties calm and soothe irritated skin, making it suitable for sensitive or acne-prone skin (Tsuchimoto et al., 2022; Stamatas et al., 2020) . By strengthening the skin barrier and providing essential nutrients, jojoba oil improves hydration, supports collagen synthesis, and promotes a healthy, balanced complexion.
Manuka honey
Manuka honey is a powerful ingredient in skin care, thanks in large part to its high concentration of methylglyoxal (MGO) . This compound, derived from the nectar of the manuka tree, gives manuka honey its unique antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties , making it highly effective at inhibiting bacterial growth. This makes it ideal for treating irritated skin and promoting the healing of blemishes or minor wounds (Nolan et al., 2020) .
In addition to MGO, manuka honey is rich in antioxidants and nutrients that protect the skin from environmental factors, contribute to cell repair and ensure a radiant complexion. Its natural moisturizing properties attract moisture to the skin, which improves hydration and leaves the skin smooth and soft. These properties make manuka honey a valuable ingredient in natural moisturizers, combining nutrition with powerful skin-restoring effects (MDPI, 2020; Nolan et al., 2020) .
Beeswax
Beeswax is highly valued in skin care for its natural protective and moisturizing properties. Unlike synthetic waxes, beeswax forms a breathable barrier on the skin, effectively retaining moisture while allowing the skin to “breathe”. This barrier function is especially beneficial for sensitive or dry skin, as it protects against environmental pollution and irritants while maintaining skin integrity and hydration (Pavlačková et al., 2020) .
Additionally, beeswax contains small amounts of vitamin A , which supports cell regeneration and promotes healthier, more resilient skin. Beeswax also offers anti-inflammatory and antibacterial benefits, making it an ideal choice for products that soothe and calm minor skin irritations (Pavlačková et al., 2020; Andrus, 2023) .
Vanilla Absolute Oil
Vanilla Absolute Oil is a valuable ingredient in skin care due to its high concentration of active compounds and unique extraction method. Unlike vanilla essential oil, which is usually steam distilled and may lose some aromatic components, vanilla absolute is extracted using a solvent method that preserves more of the plant’s natural compounds. This results in a warm, authentic vanilla scent , which offers a luxurious and long-lasting aroma (Ribeiro et al., 2015; Guzmán & Lucia, 2021) .
In addition to its aroma, vanilla absolute is rich in antioxidants , which fight free radicals that cause skin aging, contributing to smoother, younger-looking skin. It also contains mild antibacterial properties that support skin health, helping to protect and soften the skin. These properties make vanilla absolute a valuable addition to natural moisturizers, providing both skin care benefits and a delightful scented experience (Valdivieso-Ugarte et al., 2019; Michalak, 2023) .
